Program Description

Our English for Math & Science curriculum is based on textbooks published by Dai Truong Phat. The program is divided into two key components: English for Math and English for Science.

ENGLISH FOR SCIENCE

Equips students with the essential vocabulary and structures needed to build a strong foundation in English, enabling them to absorb scientific knowledge effectively. The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, from basic biology and physical sciences to environmental studies and health education. Students will learn to describe scientific processes, conduct simple experiments, and understand the natural world through an English lens. This approach not only enhances their scientific knowledge but also fosters an awareness of life sciences and a practical understanding of everyday phenomena.

ENGLISH FOR MATHS

It focuses on providing students with the vocabulary and structures necessary to apply basic math operations. Students will learn to describe mathematical concepts and solve problems using English, which aids in immediate learning and prepares them for more advanced mathematical concepts in English. This foundation serves as a bridge to thinking critically about math in an English context, simultaneously promoting a deeper understanding of both subjects. This not only supports students in further academic fields but can also be used in daily life.

To enhance the learning experience, our academic team has developed special HANDOUTS that serve as supplementary materials. These materials provide additional exercises, activities, and practice opportunities to reinforce classroom learning.

Project-Based Lesson

We have designed project-based lessons for the English for Science class. In these lessons, students review and apply their knowledge to complete various projects. These hands-on projects allow students to explore scientific concepts and develop life skills such as body care and environmental protection. During these project-based lessons, students receive a set of materials and watch context-specific videos to guide them through their projects. The focus is not merely on the manual work but on understanding the context, language, scientific knowledge, and problem-solving skills.

Each week, students can access the website to review the lessons covered in class. This online resource is meticulously designed to include summaries of the knowledge acquired during the week, interactive games that reinforce learning in a fun and engaging way, and review videos that help solidify understanding. These features ensure that students not only revise their weekly lessons but also deepen their comprehension and retention of mathematical and scientific concepts, all within an interactive and supportive online environment.
